https://www.residentdtla.com/event/207400980917/Higher Vibration Records celebrates its two year anniversary on November 21st at Resident with The Freakees, Pancho & The Wizards, Rearranged Face and DJ James Duran.
The Freakees, or more commonly referred to as, "The Greatest Band in the World," were founded in 2037 by Dr. Unk, and his three Freakees; KT, Dante, and Gob-E. Through the miracles of modern science, the Freakees were able to launch themselves twenty years into the past in order to play Rock N Roll, after it was made illegal by Emperor Ted Cruz in 2035. While trapped in the past, KT, Dante, and Gob-E managed to sucker in a couple of other guys to rock with them, Ian and Dukee. These days, you can find the Freakees under the gazebo in the backyard of their New Jersey mansion sipping on Long Island Ice Teas, a drink the Freakees invented themselves.
Pancho and the Wizards are a Rock n' Roll band from San Luis Obispo, CA, heavily influenced by psychedelic, early metal, and punk. Formed in 2014 by Tristan Wildey, the band has featured 10 different musicians through time and now has been solidified with bassist Keagan Kelly and drummer Trenton Class. The Wizards currently have 2 full length albums, and an EP, and their latest release titled, "Residual" that was recorded and produced by Chad Ubovich of LA bands Meatbodies and FUZZ. "We like to party. We will trash your house, steal your beer, and it'd be sick if we could borrow your drums for our set. All hail the magic sacred gemstones. Rock n' Roll is magic."
