Vera's Heartbeat Presents Caro Pierotto - Sambalismo Album Release Party

Vera's Heartbeat Presents:

Caro Pierotto's album release party + DJ Mika Mutti on April 24th at Resident, in LA's Arts District.

After exploring music genres in her previous productions, the singer-songwriter resurfaces with Sambalismo, an optimistic album lulled by Samba rhythms. Grecco Buratto and Caro share half of the authorship of the album, with the classic Bossa Nova 'Meros Mortais' and the Sambas 'Não Dá Pra Esconder', 'Sei Lá', 'Nesse Jogo' and 'Mal Acostumado', which is inspired by their dear deceased furry son, Max.

Based in Los Angeles, the Brazilian singer has been conquering the North American stages for the last 10 years with her captivating voice and contagious presence. With a catalog of over 60 original songs, Caro Pierotto has always explored musical genres in her productions. ‘Em Português’, her last album released in Brazil by the renowned label YB Music in 2020, features 'Mera Ilusão', a classic Samba de Roda song, chosen by Spotify for the Playlist 'Sambalelê' alongside the great names in Brazilian Samba music, such as Rogê, Maria Rita, Criolo, and Diogo Nogueira. The song now has more than 300,000 organic streams. After the success of 'Mera Ilusão', Caro and her producer/partner, Grecco Buratto, decided to focus on samba, an easy decision to make according to Caro:

“Being a Brazilian artist here in the United States made me appreciate our music, our history a lot more. Wherever I go, doors are always open for me, whether in the United States or Europe, my experience is always positive, and I owe that to Carmen Miranda, Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Astrud Gilberto, Sergio Mendes and so many more Brazilian Artists who came before me and stamped the magic of Brazilian music wherever they went. Making the decision to produce an album focused on Samba was effortless and organic.”
