NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest is hitting the road! Join us this summer for a one-of-a-kind concert experience showcasing the incredible talent of the 2023 Contest Winner Little Moon, plus some amazing Tiny Desk Contest artists from each city.

Nearly 6,000 unsigned bands and artists entered the Tiny Desk Contest in 2023. Our judges picked one winner who will get to perform behind the Tiny Desk at NPR’s headquarters, and we discovered many great musicians along the way. Now, we’re teaming up with Member stations to take the show across the country this summer.

Little Moon

Led by singer-songwriter Emma Hardyman’s soaring vocals and intricate arrangements, Little Moon is a Utah band that mixes folk, pop and indie rock. The group’s powerful Tiny Desk Contest winning entry, “Wonder Eye,” is about how “accepting the mysterious, shadowy nature of death can deepen one's sense of humanity and soften the ways we see ourselves and each other.”

Alegrías

Emerging from the pockets of all things music at UC San Diego, alegrías is a group of friends here to explore the thrilling world of music in unity. This lush, dreamy project is a fusion of r&b, bedroom pop, and jazz. Their tunes range from warm and yearning to upbeat and dancy bossa beats. Alegrías uniquely champions the sounds of the cello with Spanglish lyrics, with a goal of making you vibe, jam, and have a great time.

Anilee List

s a unique and well-rounded vocal stylist whose neo-soul pop sound delivers unexpected power. The Los Angeles native’s distinctive yet versatile talent was evident at a young age, first taking the stage at two years old, but her artistry received global recognition during the 2021 season of American Idol where her "technically perfect vocals" and performance earned her a standing ovation from the season's judges (Katie Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie).

Having been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at the age of ten, Anilee is an active member of the Tourette Association of America. She is a passionate advocate for the disability community and strives to spread awareness and acceptance wherever she goes.

Anilee's single Blue, along with her four other songs on Spotify, have garnered over 300k organic streams and she's been featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds: R&B playlist. Her social media base is over 100k strong, and growing. New music coming soon!
