Alex Bloom, Ren Martinez & Soft Streak

Alex Bloom is a musician, songwriter, and producer from Los Angeles. His forthcoming third full length LP ‘Across the Country’ follows an autobiographical narrative of Alex’s time living in NYC, and moving home to LA. The album’s track list is plotted in chronological order, guiding the listener through various sonic worlds of Alex’s creation that correspond to specific moments and events in his life. The third single from the album, ‘Yeah’, is out December 6th 2023.

Ren Martinez is a singer, songwriter, and actress, born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended USC’s Thornton School of Music and studied voice and songwriting in their Popular Music program. She grew up listening to Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell in her parents’ cars on long drives down Pacific Coast Highway, and singing along to cassettes of Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys in her childhood bedroom. She developed a reverence for both lyrical songwriting and great pop hooks that have formed the bedrock of her sensibility as a writer and performer. She’s sang and acted on L.A. stages from Pasadena to Malibu, and her music has been featured on television shows including Hacks, Friends from College, Single Parents, New Girl, and The Young and the Restless.

Soft Streak's music grapples with heartbreak, identity, and with insecurities and anxieties familiar to us all. But even as we wallow and indulge in these feelings, their music feels like a friend. The duo calls Los Angeles home; the place where they met, and where this project came to life. Soft Streak came into its own after years of producing and writing their own music, releasing an EP, playing SXSW, and touring both coasts. Sonically and visually, through their self-directed and edited music videos, their music is the full length invitation into their world.
