The countdown is on to Halloween! It’s the spookiest, witchiest season of all and yet, let’s be real, the scare factor of Halloween and midterms are tied in our book. As you continue to debate who will be Baby Spice and who will be Sporty, don’t forget to register to vote. ‘Tis the season and your civic duty!

In true fall fashion It’s finally chilly enough to relish in the warmth of our garden fire pits, so there’s no excuse not to bring your hump day hangs to Resident. Ever So Android, Wild Powwer, and The Little Miss are taking over our stage with a special DJ set from Draemings. It being a few days shy of the release of Wild Powwer’s new record, is just the cherry on top! Catch a live sneak peak or jam in advance here. Your Thursday night treat comes in the form of Fleurie, with added performances from Daniella Mason and Bahari. If you have yet to listen to Daniella Mason’s new EP that dropped last week, we’re happy to join Billboard in saying it’s a must-listen. Won’t you join us for the real deal in person?

This weekend is looking to be one for the books as we start things off with the Mothers’ oh-so anticipated visit to our stage with friends Lala Lala! We kindly request your presence. Then Saturday night DJ Paul V hosts another one of his beloved parties — My Melody, a night of the best old school hip hop! Come shake it your favorite old school and golden era rap songs, from 1979-1999. You deserve a nostalgic night on our dancefloor.

We have two additionals October highlights on our radar with the first happening next Tuesday as we are paid a visit from Minneapolis band Color TV. Pop by for this free show featuring support from Rolex, Launcher, Xtramess, and DJ Rexy. The second is a special show on 10/20 hosted and curated by Dr. Martens starring Pinky Pinky and Miserable! It’s free with RSVP so make sure to sign up and we’ll see you there!

As we move through the month, don’t forget the numerous upcoming festivities that are calling your name! BOO-tie LA returns to Resident for a very special Halloween mashup extravaganza on Saturday 10/27. We’ll be ticketing the whole place, both inside and outside, so make sure to start planning an epic costume and get your tickets before they disappear. On Halloween night, Wednesday 10/31, we’ve added another performance of Lizzie, the rock show meets musical retelling of an infamous and dark 1800s murder. Can you think of anything more perfect for the holiday? No doubt a few eery spirits will be in attendance. After the show stay for a truly spooky celebration as Cretin Hop and Green Slime Present Monster Hop Halloween Bash! Come dressed for the occasion and enjoy a night of cover bands, costumes, and even a special themed photobooth.

Finally, we just added some very exciting live shows for the month of November. First up is Riz La Vie stopping by on 11/7 with SWSH. Allow us to share the one thing you didn’t know you need today…some live SWSH sounds. Prepare to be amazed!

We follow that up with Anna of the North the following day on 11/8, who you’ll recognize for her beloved track “Lovers.” Sound familiar? If you watched To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before it definitely will! We close out the month with Drew McDowall on 11/29.

Enjoy these crisper nights (it’s finally light jacket weather!) and sip on something wonderful in the garden, friends. Don’t forget to come see us this week so we can still recognize you in the Halloween costume you’re planning for Halloweekend.
