Faye Webster, Don’t Come to LA w/ Blueface, Morbosidad, Green Slime

Oh hey long weekend! It’s nearly Labor Day which means it’s time for day-drinking, barbeques, and don’t forget, your last chance to wear white. If you’re not wearing some linen pants on this holiday we are calling you out. Come kick it today through Monday as we officially kiss summer goodbye…

Tonight we’ll be crooning with Atlanta cool girl Faye Webster, an occasion you won’t want to miss. This young and talented songbird has been playing in our heads all summer long! Thursday we’re going all in at LA’s freshest new hip hop party, Don’t Come to LA featuring a special performance from Blueface and SavIII 3rd. The latter just got signed to Birdman’s new label if you needed further proof this show is gonna be a hit. Curated by hip hop connoisseur Jeff Weiss of Passion of the Weiss, the line-ups never disappoint and the good vibes are contagious. You’ve definitely heard about it, now here’s your chance to come live it, so come sip on some Red Bull drink specials and let’s party.

In another genre defying weekend Death / Black metal fans can start off the holiday festivities with Morbosidad on our stage this Friday. We switch it up with 60s themed dance party, Green Slime on Saturday. Throw on your dancing shoes for this “groovy, grindy shindig,” and stay for a special performance from The Unclaimed as they serve up a mix of psychedelic garage punk they’ve been crafting since ‘79. Sunday we’re giving a big Resident welcome to Canadian band S.H.I.T. and ringing in the long weekend in true hardcore fashion. For those of you excused from work on Monday, we’ll be open all day! You need not lift a finger — we’ve got barbeque sandwiches that will make your mouth water, endless craft beer, and a dreamy outdoor patio that your apartment building could never supply.

With that said, it’s now time to give this fall thing a chance. Navigating that awkward season change can be weird, so we might as well dive right in. Here goes nothing! We just added three September surprises with Table Sugar on 9/16, Captured By Robots on 9/20, and Eleanor Friedberger on 9/25. One of our biggest autumn highlights goes down on 10/20 as Culture Collide and Doc Martens team up to throw an epic party featuring Miserable and a very special headliner to be announced soon! RSVP for free entry on DOLA before word gets out.

Let’s be real, Halloween isn’t just for kids and it remains one of our favorite celebrations of the fall season. Yes we’re already planning a slew of costumes for each night of Halloweekend and yes we’re absolutely hosting an oh-so festive Halloween themed Daft Brunch on Saturday 10/27! Dress to impress and show us what your mama gave ya on the dancefloor.

Peeking ahead to December, save the date for 12/11 when Valley Maker pays us a visit from Seattle. He just dropped a video in anticipation of his sophomore LP out on Frenchkiss in October. New tunes for a new season.

Cheers to the upcoming holiday weekend! We can’t wait to see you and catch up on all your August adventures. So long Summer 2018. Thanks for being so good to us!
