Perfume and Paige Emery, Captured! By Robots, No Chaperone 9/22, Mimosas & Samosas, Eleanor Friedberger

September is speeding by and thanks to the perfect California weather we’re not really getting a “fall vibe.” No Pumpkin Spice aesthetic here, folks! For those DIY friends feeling lost and craving a season change, come create your own late night wonder at our fire pits with some craft beer under the stars at a brisk 65 degrees. Honestly that version of fall even sounds appealing to “summer forever” fans…

Tonight we’ve got an awesome line-up with both Perfume and Paige Emery. The latter just dropped a new track over on Grimy Goods this week — treat your ears. Thursday we’re going off with Captured! By Robots, the band of beloved underground metal promotor Church of the 8th Day aka Dan Dismal. Not to be missed!

The weekend begins with another epic performance of Lizzie, best described as, “a rock concert meets historical true crime storytelling.” Rock and theater collide for this telling of a brutal 1892 murder that remains an American legend. Catch shows on Friday at 7:30 and Saturday at 8. After the performance, we’ll be switching things up and cranking up the weekend feels!

With partying in mind, local queen of old school soul, fabulousness, and fashion, Miss Jackie Jackson, transforms Resident into a lively celebration at Juke Joint this Friday evening. After grooving to her magnificent voice all night long and cutting a rug to the best classic R&B, you’ll be bowing down to the effervescent spirit of Miss Jackson and her Royal Gents. Afterwards, LA’s finest funky, all-vinyl DJ will be closing out evening with late night tracks — you know and love him as DJ Clifton.

We’re pulling out all the Faux-Fall feels in the garden on Saturday as we kick off Oktoberfest with special drinks. That evening come hungry for our Woon Noodle Pop-Up featuring the most delicious home-style Chinese noodles you’ve ever tasted in LA. After you feast, join us on the dancefloor as everybody’s favorite grown-up homecoming dance, No Chaperone, returns to Resident! Live band jams, nostalgia, and no parents to tell you what to do. Return to your youth, but with that no-rules, adult lifestyle. Closing out the fun on Sunday we’ve got Mimosas & Samosas on the patio featuring the best dancehall, R&B, latin, baile funk, and more. Come brunch!

After many moons and much excitement, Eleanor Friedberger visits our stage on Tuesday next week with PILL.You won’t want to miss this show! We also just announced several other surprises in the weeks ahead including the return of the Vanderpump Rules themed Sexy Unique Podcast live on our stage! Whether you’re a Jax, Sandoval, or a Lala, all our welcome to this hilarious meeting of the minds.

A few more highlights for the months ahead…! We just added a 90s alt / indie / grunge DJ night on Sunday 10/7 now known as Nuke Seattle. We’ve got exciting times on 11/18 as Gun Outfit pays us a visit, plus we recently announced Ayokay on 12/4. What more could one need?

Calling all friends, lovers, and dogs (furry friends are always welcome on a leash) …Come pay us a visit! We miss you and this not-fall thing is both predictable and something we somehow always forget how to navigate. Let’s figure it out together.
