Resident Summer Series: The Delirians

Four day weeks are for celebrating! We’re ringing in our Wednesday with Low Hum, Dang Clēts, and The Kickstand Band tonight.

If you’re looking for a wild and crazy Thursday night, Don’t Come to LA rolls into Resident tomorrow with the second edition of Jeff Weiss’ carefully curated rap line-up. In the spirit of Passion of the Weiss, get to know fresh talent on the forefront of LA’s rap renaissance featuring Warm Brew, Rucci, Niko G4, and others.

Yeehaw! We just announced our Resident Round Up & Garden Jamboree happening every Saturday afternoon this June & July! Come enjoy outdoor performances in our lush garden oasis from The Paranoyds, Feels, Making Time, and many more. RSVP and meet the rest of the line up here. It all begins this Saturday with Delirians! You’d be a gosh darn fool to miss out on this free summer kick off.

Here’s a further weekend rundown: Double up on fun this Saturday with an evening show from pop trio Bahari, presented by Mixed Feelings. Then wake up & rosé at SFT SRV Sunday with dirty disco and drink specials galore. Drum roll please… $6 Prosecco • $7 Sauvignon Blanc • $8 Mimosas and French Rosé. I’ll have one of each, please and thank you!

Experience music in its most raw form Sunday evening as Alex Zhang Hungtai takes over our stage. The pairing of his music and visual storytelling in recent piece “Pierrot” has us transfixed — don’t miss this one. Steve Gunn will leave you equally mesmerized in this NPR Field Recording of him performing on an old railroad track. Absorb that beauty and then see him in real life on Monday 6/4. As charming and talented in person, we promise.

And now for something new! Resident and Nance Arte Productions are launching Synths and Riffs on Friday 6/8. Dave Parley of Prayers will be on the tables with his eclectic beats while Mario Rubio of Thrown into Exile provides some live guitar action.

July brings your favorite Indian beats party, Non Stop Bhangra, back to LA! The dance floor at this event is always one of the most lively of the entire year, so come prepared for serious dancing at this Bollywood meets nightclub celebration on Saturday 7/7.

Finally, with a new month upon us, it’s time for some easy summer listening. Throw the new Vug Arakas EP on your speakers and then get to know this local gem live with us on 7/25. You’ll be glad you did.

Here we go! Summertime has arrived in 3…2…1.
