Vice / Noisey Present Video Singles Party, DJ Hevin, Stomp! Funk + Disco Party, That Big 80s Party, Anjelica

There’s nothing quite like emerging from a heavenly long weekend. September has officially taken hold and we’re just along for the ride! Let’s embrace this short work week and make this weekend one for the books.

Allow us to ease your return-to-work slump tonight and get down in true Hump Day fashion at a party hosted by Vice / Noisey. They’ve teamed up with Soundcloud to debut The Video Singles, a series promoting independent artists with fresh new music — what’s not to love? RSVPs are now open. Roll up at 10 pm for the after party.

Calling all disco queens! Your presence is requested Friday night at Stomp, an oh-so groovy 70s themed dance party. Dress to impress and strut your stuff on our dancefloor to the best, most infectious disco tracks you love and know. Here’s just a few of our favorite jams you might be shaking it to.

If you’re looking for some real weekend fun, we highly recommend giving us a follow on our @ResidentDTLAPresents Instagram as Anjelica hosts a takeover on Saturday! Get to know her before she makes waves on our stage with Yank$ this Sunday evening.

And now to share our special monthly mentions! Saturday 9/22 your favorite grown-up homecoming, No Chaperone, returns to Resident. Prepare yourself for a night of hits and nostalgia for your old high school life, plus overall relief that you can party without worrying about that giant history test and drink freely and legally. Adult life has its benefits! The following Saturday, 9/29, come boogie-oogie with local superstar DJ Clifton at Soul Shakedown to an all-vinyl set featuring deep cuts of the funk and soul variety. Earlier that week, we’re condensing Soft Kill’s once 4 night Residency into one epic night now set for 9/26. Save the date for a memorable show.

On a final note, new music drops this Friday from Mothers and we’re more than a little excited. We’ll be listening in anticipation of their visit to our stage on 10/1. See you there!

Sweet September, we’re ready. Pop by the garden soon and let’s cheers to a new month.
